Aulietau
Category: History- Description: Aulietau. The top of the Ulytau mountains. It is located 2 km west of the village of Ulytau. According to local oral legends, the Aulietau peak is closest to the sky, it is in this place that the Earth and the Sky meet. Since ancient times, the mountain has been considered a sacred place, the abode of gods and spirits, a place of permanently acting sacred forces and the administration of rituals, a place of human connection with nature at a subtle level.
Edyge
Category: History- Description: Edyge. Stone construction. It is located on the top of Mount Edyge, which is 35 km west of the village of Ulytau. The building dates back to the time of the Golden Horde. According to legend, the emir of the Golden Horde, Edyge bi, is buried here. Another legend says that the Khan of the Golden Horde, Toktamysh, was buried near the burial place of Edyge.
Melon
Category: History- Description: Melon. Stone construction. There are several similar structures in the Ulytau region. One building is located near the village of Baikonur, four buildings near the village of Egindi. The most famous of them is Dombaul. The ritual structures date back to the Oguz-Kipchak time. Archaeological excavations have shown the absence of burials in them. Apparently, they are ritual buildings.
Dulygaly
Category: History- Description: Dulygaly. Mosque. It is located on the right bank of the Dulygaly River, 170 km west of the village of Ulytau. Built at the end of the 19th century. The famous traditional healer Kazi Ishan, who lived in the 70s of the XX century, rests in the necropolis next to the mosque.
Dombaul
Category: History- Description: Dombaul. The stone structure is located 7 km north of the Zhoshykhan mazar. According to legend, it belonged to Zhoshykhan's advisor, the author of the steppe melody (kui) "Aksak kulan", the father of the legendary commander Ketbuga. According to the official version of scientists, this ritual structure belongs to the Oguz-Kipchak time (VIII-IX centuries).
Bolgan ana
Category: History- Description: Bolgan ana. Mazar. It is located 50 km south of the city of Zhezkazgan, on the left bank of the Kengir River. Built in the XIV-XV centuries. According to legend, it belonged to Zhoshykhan's daughter-in-law. The Kulan Ana mazar was built nearby. Legend has it that the mazar belonged to the concubine of Genghis Khan; on a secret order, she directed the murder of Zhoshykhan. Therefore, the steppe kui "Aksak kulan" indirectly informs about the executioner of Zhoshykhan's death.
Petroglyphs of Baikonur
Category: History- Description: Petroglyphs of Baikonur. Cave drawings. The Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age, the Middle Ages. They are located on the right bank of the Baikonur River, 2 km south of the Baikonur village. Along the river, for 20 km, on the rocks, rock paintings of animals, animals, images of hunting scenes, sun-headed people and chariots are carved in groups.
Mausoleum of Alash Khan
Category: History- Description: Alashakhan. Mazar. It is located 60 km east of the city of Satpayev, on the right bank of the Karakengir River, 2 km west of the village of Malshybai. Built at the end of the 15th century. According to one of the legends, the mazar belonged to the prince of the ancient state of Turan. Another legend says that the kagan of the Western Turkic kaganate was buried here. According to some scholars, Khaknazar, the khan of the Kazakh khanate, is buried here.
