"Bolgan Ana"

Mausoleum. It is situated 50 km from Zhezkazgan city to the south, on the left bank of Kengir river. The Mausoleum was built in XIV-XV c.c. According to the legend it belonged to Zhoshykhan’s daughter-in-law. Near it there is the mausoleum of Kulan Ana. The legend says that the mausoleum belonged to Genghes’ hetaera, by the secret order she managed the murder of Zhoshykhan. That is why the steppe melody-kuy “Aksak Kulan” about the death of Zhoshykhan indirectly informs about the performer of the murder.
