On the Aybas canyon, that is 35 km west of Ulytau village, there are almost unlimited opportunities for openair activities: beautiful landscapes and diverse landscapes, mild climate, unique flora, aspen-birch pegs, ancient monuments and farms. Within a radius of 5 km there are archaeological sites of different eras: mounds, stone statues, and nicropolis. At the top of Aybas Gorge there is the burial place of the Emir of the Golden Horde Uedyge Biy and the Golden Horde Khan Toktamys. If you wish, you can stay overnight in a shepherd’s yurt or in winter, or settle in a guest house on the shore of Lake Kenenbai. There is also a comfortable hotel "Kokmaisa". The best time to travel is from May to September, although warm clothes come in handy there even in summer time.
