The “Bulanty battle” complex is dedicated to the first victory over the jungars in 1727. It is located in the Uytas tract on the banks of the Bulanty River, 18 km south of the village of Baikonur, on the territory of the Ulytau reserve-museum. The stella symbolizes the unification of the Kazakh clans. The upper part of the seven-meter monument is a spear, with its tip pointing up. The lower part has a rectangular base with four round shields laid around the perimeter. According to the organizers, the complex should become the site of annual memorial ceremonies to the heroes of the Battle of Bulanty, which will be held by the Ulytau reserve-museum with the participation of descendants from different regions of Kazakhstan. It is assumed that as a result of the search work being carried out by the reserve-museum, the list of the heroes will be supplemented and then it will be possible to install new commemorative obelisks with the newly discovered names of the heroes of the 18th century’ battle.
Opposite the monument, on the right bank of the river, on the rocks there are rock paintings of the Bronze Age, Early Iron Age and the Middle Ages. 2 km south of Baikonur village along the river, for 20 km there are rock carvings of animals, pictures of hunting scenes, sun-headed people and chariots.
