Route. “Bolgan Ana”

The monument is located 50 km south of Zhezkazgancity, along the Kyzylorda highway. It belongs to the Golden Horde period (XIII-XIV centuries). According to the Persian scientist Rashid-ad-din and academician V.V. Bartold, Bolgan-ana was the daughter of Joshy Khan. Academician Margulan writes that the mazar is similar to the Karakhandy architectural monuments (10th c.). Bolgan ana is revered as a saint one, the monument is actively visited by pilgrims.
