Exploration expedition on architectural monuments

On August 16, the employees of Ulytau reserve-museum on the territory of Shenber village conducted exploration works of historical and architectural monuments. While working two or three kilometers far from Isalyk wintering they e found mounds with “mustache”. In addition, they made photographic files of Zhamantas, Nurman and Yesenbek mausoleums. In the inner right-hand corner of Zhamantasmausoleum, they found a circular staircase was found to reach the dome, there is the same in Alashahan mausoleum. Unfortunately this mausoleum is in a bad condition.
Nurman mausoleum is well preserved and according to the words of the local peopleit was renovated in 2003. But the condition of Yessenbek mausoleum is in danger and restoration activities are required.
Besides, during the expedition the members of the expedition were very lucky to find a unique natural feature. To be more precise, at the top of the mountain near Zimantas wintering there is a special stone and an empty cave, covered with a stone by half.
